This is the heaviest leaf load we deal with anywhere. Big gums over big pools means baskets fill within days, and the tannins from the leaf litter stain the surfaces if it sits. Most pools here need more visits than the owner expects.

That grey-brown band around the waterline is calcium and body oils. It hardens over time, and the longer it sits the harder it is to take off without damaging the tile.

Leave a pool a fortnight in a Sydney summer and it goes green. Tipping in more chlorine rarely fixes it, because the water is usually too far out of balance for chlorine to do anything.
